Bayraktar Kizilelma, developed by Turkish defense industry firm Baykar, successfully completes taxi, ground driving tests

Türkiye’s first indigenous unmanned fighter aircraft Bayraktar Kızılelma, developed by Baykar Technologies, has passed the first test runs.

There are no modern armed forces without drones. Bayraktars are UCAVs that on the one hand carry out reconnaissance missions, and on the other are capable of performing combat missions as well. This marks a major stage in the process of the Polish Armed Forces’ modernization equipping them with modern equipment. We are starting the process of equipping military units with Bayraktars.

Poland received the first Bayraktar drones. “There is no modern army without modern drones,” Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak stated and added that “we still strengthen the capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces.”

Turkish defence company Baykar is planning to complete the construction of its manufacturing plant in Ukraine in two years, its chief executive said on Thursday, after the company became highly renowned for their drones' success in thwarting Russian forces.

Turkish drone magnate Baykar has delivered the first batch of Bayraktar TB2 unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) to Poland after signing an agreement back in 2021, a Baykar official said Friday.

"Soon our Bayraktar TB2 and Akıncıs will have air-to-air missiles; not only to engage drones but other enemy aircraft ... we are doing our tests," Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar said in his comments during a defence fair in Istanbul.

Turkish, Azerbaijani, and Pakistani trainees trained as operators Bayraktar Akinci from Baykar have successfully completed their training and graduated.

The head of Ukraine’s presidential office, Andriy Yermak, has visited the facilities of Baykar Technologies, a Turkish manufacturer of drones, to present Selçuk Bayraktar, the company’s chief technology officer, with the Order of Merit.

Two Turkish-made unmanned aerial vehicles have performed a formation flight for the first time at Teknofest, Türkiye’s largest aerospace and technology festival, with Selçuk Bayraktar, the producing company’s chief technology officer, serving as the second pilot.
