AKINCI SCORES A DIRECT HIT ON ITS FIRST FIRING WITH THE MGK MUNITION

AKINCI, Türkiye's Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) developed indigenously by Baykar, has successfully completed its first firing test with the MGK munition as part of its test program, scoring a direct hit.

The AKINCI UCAV, developed indigenously by Baykar, continues to expand its capabilities through the integration of indigenous subsystems and munitions. As part of these efforts, AKINCI scored a direct hit on its target in a firing test with the Morfoz Guidance Kit (MGK), developed by Aselsan using national capabilities.

TARGET HIT ON THE FIRST FIRING
During the test, AKINCI took off from the Çorlu Flight Training and Test Center in Tekirdağ carrying the MGK, developed by Aselsan entirely with indigenous components, and the Alpagut munition, developed by Roketsan and STM. In the first firing test, conducted over the Gulf of Saros, AKINCI scored a direct hit on the designated target with the MGK and, following the successful completion of the firing test, returned to the Çorlu Flight Training and Test Center.

A DIVERSE RANGE OF INDIGENOUS MUNITIONS
To date, as part of the indigenous UCAV's development and munitions integration activities, the following have been successfully integrated: MAM-L, MAM-L TV, MAM-T, MAM-T IIR/TV, MAM-C, the TOLUN munition family, TEBER-81, TEBER-82, LAÇİN, LGK-81, LGK-82, HGK-82, the GÖKÇE Guidance Kit, the GÖZDE Guidance Kit, KGK-82-SİHA, the İHA-300 Supersonic Missile, the İHA-230 Supersonic Missile, the İHA-122 Supersonic Missile with TV and laser seeker heads, the ÇAKIR Cruise Missile, the EREN High-Speed Multi-Purpose Loitering Munition, the SUNGUR Air Defense Missile, and, most recently, the MGK. Thanks to this diverse range of indigenous munitions with varying range, guidance, and warhead options, AKINCI has gained an operational and strike capability that allows it to conduct missions against a wide variety of target types.

EXPORT CHAMPION
Having financed all of its projects entirely with its own resources since its founding, Baykar continued to be the world's largest exporter in the unmanned aerial vehicle segment in 2025. Having maintained its leadership of the global UCAV market over the past three years, Baykar broke its own record in 2025 with an export volume of $2.2 billion. Generating 90% of its revenue from exports in recent years, Baykar has become the locomotive of Türkiye's high-technology exports.

BAYKAR: THE WORLD'S LARGEST UAV COMPANY
Baykar, which ranked among Türkiye's top ten exporters across all sectors in 2023, 2024, and 2025 and received the Champions of Export Award, was the export leader of the defense and aerospace sector in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, according to data from the Defense Industry Agency (SSB) and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM). After single-handedly accounting for one-third of the sector's exports in 2023, Baykar alone generated one-quarter of the defense and aerospace sector's total exports in 2024, carrying Türkiye to a leading position in the global UCAV export market. The world's largest unmanned aerial vehicle company, Baykar has signed export agreements with a total of 39 countries: 36 for the Bayraktar TB2 UCAV and, to date, 16 for the AKINCI UCAV.
