Unmanned aerial vehicles and smart systems indigenously developed by Baykar carried out a range of missions demonstrating joint operations capabilities as part of Exercise Ateş Serbest-2026. The exercise featured the AKINCI UCAV, Bayraktar TB2 UCAV, K2 Kamikaze UAV, SİVRİSİNEK Smart Loitering Munition, Bayraktar KALKAN VTOL UAV, and KEMANKEŞ 1 AI-Based Mini Cruise Missile.
AUTONOMOUS SWARM OPERATIONS AND SALVO DIVE
During the exercise, five K2 Kamikaze UAVs took off and, through a link established with the ground control station, provided in-flight control and coordination of a swarm of 20 SİVRİSİNEK Smart Loitering Munitions. Ten SİVRİSİNEK munitions broke away from the group conducting autonomous swarm operations in the air and performed a salvo dive onto designated points, destroying the targets with direct hits. The Bayraktar KALKAN VTOL UAV, for its part, successfully carried out the detection, tracking, and control of targets using the BG-180 3E Three-Axis Stabilized Electro-Optical system, developed by Baykar and used for the first time.
DETECTION WITH AESA RADAR, DESTRUCTION WITH PRECISION STRIKE
Of the two AKINCI aircraft participating in the exercise, the first, which is in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces, successfully struck designated targets with TEBER, TOLUN, MAM-L TV, and MAM-T munitions. The other AKINCI, which took off from Çorlu, detected air and ground targets with the MURAD AESA radar. Fired from a Bayraktar TB2 in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces, KEMANKEŞ 1 successfully struck its target. AKINCI and Bayraktar TB2 also performed a salute flyby.
FULL COORDINATION IN NETWORK-CENTRIC WARFARE
The platforms developed by Baykar successfully completed their missions within the scope of the exercise. The activities demonstrated the simultaneous mission management, autonomous swarm operations, target detection, and precision strike capabilities of unmanned systems in a network-centric warfare environment, as well as their effectiveness in joint operations.
