As part of the Seawolf Exercise, Bayraktar TB3, launched from TCG Anadolu, successfully completed a sonobuoy launch test using the Baykar SAS POD. Conducting a joint operation with a maritime patrol aircraft, the indigenous UCAV gained another critical capability in anti-submarine warfare.

The Bayraktar TB3 UCAV (Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle) demonstrated a critical capability in anti-submarine warfare during a mission flown from TCG Anadolu as part of the Seawolf-I/2026 Exercise. The indigenous UCAV successfully completed a test launch of two sonobuoys using the Sonobuoy Dispenser System (SAS POD), developed indigenously by Baykar, while also carrying out a joint operation with a maritime patrol aircraft.

SIMULTANEOUS EXERCISE ACROSS FOUR SEAS
Conducted simultaneously in the Black Sea, the Sea of Marmara, the Aegean Sea, and the Eastern Mediterranean between September 20–25, 2026, the Seawolf-I/2026 Exercise is showcasing the capabilities of indigenous platforms. With elements from the Naval, Land, Air, and Coast Guard Commands participating, the Bayraktar TB3 stood out as one of the exercise's most notable elements.

JOINT OPERATION WITH MARITIME PATROL AIRCRAFT
Carrying out anti-submarine warfare missions as part of the exercise scenario, the Bayraktar TB3 operated in full coordination with a maritime patrol aircraft in the operation area. During the flight, it successfully released two sonobuoys into the sea using the Baykar SAS POD carried under its wing.

PROCESSED DATA AND DELIVERED REAL-TIME DISPLAY
One of the most critical stages of the test was data integration. During the operation, the Bayraktar TB3 processed data not only from the sonobuoys it had launched itself but also from those released by the maritime patrol aircraft on the mission, using its onboard sonobuoy processing unit. The indigenous UCAV also successfully delivered real-time display of the acquired underwater data within the exercise environment.
