Baykar’s high-tech, AI-powered unmanned systems continue to successfully complete their test campaigns. As part of this process, two KEMANKEŞ 1 AI-powered Mini Cruise Missiles have successfully completed their Maximum Flight and Dive Tests.

MAXIMUM FLIGHT AND DIVE TEST
The testing schedule of KEMANKEŞ 1, the first member of Baykar’s KEMANKEŞ family of AI-powered Mini Cruise Missiles, is progressing successfully. As part of the test, two KEMANKEŞ 1 missiles were launched from Baykar’s Flight Training and Test Center in Keşan, Edirne, aboard a Bayraktar TB2 UCAV, which flew to a designated point in the air. The KEMANKEŞ 1 missiles were then released from the Bayraktar TB2 to carry out the Maximum Flight and Dive Test. The AI-powered mini cruise missiles flew more than 100 kilometers toward their designated targets and successfully completed the test before landing safely via parachute.

UNVEILED AT TEKNOFEST
KEMANKEŞ 1, the indigenously developed mini smart cruise missile designed by Baykar for use against strategic targets, was publicly exhibited for the first time during TEKNOFEST 2023, held at Atatürk Airport from April 27 to May 1. The name “KEMANKEŞ” is inspired by the master archers in Turkish history, renowned for hitting their targets with perfect precision even under the most challenging conditions.

THE OFFENSIVE EDGE OF INDIGENOUS UCAVS
KEMANKEŞ 1 can be integrated into Baykar’s indigenously developed platforms—Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV, Bayraktar TB2 UCAV, and Bayraktar TB3 UCAV—to carry out missions. The mini intelligent cruise missile, which can remain airborne for approximately one hour, uses its jet engine to swiftly engage high-risk targets behind enemy lines. With a mission range of over 200 kilometers, KEMANKEŞ 1 features an AI-supported electro-optical guidance system that enables it to identify and destroy targets with pinpoint accuracy, even under challenging weather conditions.

A GAME-CHANGER ON THE BATTLEFIELD
Equipped with an AI-supported autopilot system, KEMANKEŞ 1 will conduct autonomous flights and neutralize strategic targets with high precision, altering the balance on the battlefield. Capable of operating in both day and night conditions, KEMANKEŞ 1 features anti-jamming technology that allows it to carry out missions without being affected by electronic interference. Maintaining full line-of-sight communication with its host platform, it transmits all collected data and imagery to the ground control station via the platform, supporting the user with data tracking.

EXPORT CHAMPION
Baykar has carried out all its projects to date using its own resources. Since the start of its UAV R&D journey in 2003, the company has generated 83% of its total revenue from exports. In 2023, Baykar achieved $1.8 billion in exports, ranking among the top 10 exporters across all sectors in Türkiye. As the world’s leading exporter of unmanned aerial vehicles, Baykar maintained its global success in 2024 as well, once again reaching $1.8 billion in exports, with 90% of its revenue coming from international sales.

BAYKAR: THE WORLD’S LARGEST UAV COMPANY
Recipient of the prestigious “Champions of Export” award, Baykar was the top exporter in the defense and aerospace sector in 2021, 2022, and 2023, according to data from the Defence Industry Agency (SSB) and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM). The year before, Baykar alone accounted for one-third of the sector’s total exports. In 2024, the company realized a quarter of all defense and aerospace exports singlehandedly, positioning Türkiye as the global leader in the UAV export market. As the world’s largest unmanned aerial vehicle company, Baykar has signed export agreements with a total of 36 countries — 34 for the Bayraktar TB2 UCAV and 11 for the Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV.
