Italian Deputy Minister of Defense Matteo Perego di Cremnago, Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Antonio Conserva, Army Commander Lieutenant General Carmine Masiello, and Deputy Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto, together with their accompanying delegation, examined Baykar’s game-changing technologies on site. The high-level delegation observed flight and live-fire demonstrations and received a comprehensive briefing on Baykar’s vision for the future.

A delegation from Italy’s Defense Ministry has paid an important visit to Baykar’s facilities in Tekirdağ and Istanbul. During their visit, the Italian officials found an opportunity to observe the capabilities of Baykar’s high-tech platforms on site.

HIGH-LEVEL ATTENDANCE FROM ITALY
The delegation was led by Italian Deputy Minister of Defense Matteo Perego di Cremnago. Also present were Italian Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Antonio Conserva, Italian Army Commander Lieutenant General Carmine Masiello, and Deputy Commander of the Italian Navy Vice Admiral Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto. From Leonardo, Italy’s leading defense industry company, Co-Head of Strategy and Innovation Simone Ungaro and Co-Head of Business Development Carlo Gualdaroni joined the visit. The delegation further included commanders from various units of the Italian Army, Navy, and Air Force.

ACCOMPANIED BY SSB HEAD AND COMMANDERS
The Italian delegation was accompanied by Baykar Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar and CEO Haluk Bayraktar as well as Prof. Haluk Görgün, Head of Türkiye’s Defense Industry Agency (SSB), Commander of the Land Forces Gen. Metin Tokel, Commander of the 1st Army Gen. Bahtiyar Ersay, and ROKETSAN General Manager Murat Ikinci.

FLIGHT AND LIVE-FIRE DEMO IN ÇORLU
The delegation’s first stop was Baykar’s AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu, Tekirdağ. A special flight demonstration was organized for the visiting delegation. As part of the demonstration, the Bayraktar TB3 UCAV, Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV, and Bayraktar KIZILELMA Unmanned Fighter Aircraft conducted a joint flight display. During the event, the Bayraktar TB3 successfully carried out a live firing demonstration with MAM-L smart munitions produced by ROKETSAN.

BRIEFING IN ISTANBUL
Following their visit to Çorlu, the Italian delegation proceeded to the Özdemir Bayraktar National Technology Center, Baykar’s headquarters in Istanbul. There, the delegation was comprehensively briefed by Selçuk Bayraktar, Haluk Bayraktar and Baykar’s project managers on the company’s ongoing projects and technological vision for the future. Following presentations and discussions, the delegation’s visit ended with their departure from Istanbul.
